Many many many things have been going on since my last blog. Hence, the lack of blog entries. For one, we went on a really great vacation to Half Moon Bay. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it. Our room was right on the water, so we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean every night. Ahhh. While we were away, our house went up for sale! That was good. The day before it went on the market, some freak storm blew through Austin with very large hail and broke some windows on our house and ruined the yard. That was bad. Our fab friend and real estate agent (Eileen) raked up our yard (bless her) and all things were a-go for our open house.

We got back and started house-shopping again. I've been kinda down on this because all the houses we'd looked at had issues. Like, nice huge new house - but ohh, it's right on Mopac. Or, nice great house, but ohh, there's only a 1 x 1 square of yard. So, when we walked into this house last week and saw that it was darn near perfect - I was super excited. It had a walk-in closet to DIE for (I'm talkin custom shelves for my shoes!!). Unfortunately, we got a call on Friday that someone had put an offer on it. Did I mention this house has been on the market for 4 months!? With two previous offers that fell through. Lance and I quickly decided to put an offer in as well and hope for the best. After 4 excruciating days waiting to hear back, we finally got the bad news call that they took the other offer. Turns out they weren't willing to risk our contingency offer. Oh sure, we get the home-flipping contractors who AREN'T willing to take a risk.
